Hope you enjoy it and can relate to this lack of communication I am seeing lately!

  1. Sometimes it’s not what we say but how we say it. Other times, what we don’t say speaks volumes. But I definitely see/feel/hear the lack of communication everywhere I go. It sticks out like a sore thumb at times when we have the TV tuned to the news shows like “Hardball” — the host seems to interrupt his guests constantly just so he can hear himself talk. And when Sam’s cursing out a bad play or call by a baseball player, I “shut down” in order to avoid saying something I might regret later. And I see it with two people supposedly having breakfast together at Cracker Barrel, sitting there each talking to someone else on their smartphones! I have to admit I do it myself at times if Sam ticks me off with some remark that rubs my ego the wrong way.

And, yes, I did enjoy your article!
