Authenticity of You

I had a conversation the other day with someone about consciousness. This woman was a little judgmental in regards to receiving “messages” from another realm. I explained to her that our souls are always in knowing mode but we, as human alterations, block the messages. Call it intuition, whispers from God, or whatever. We have an inner guidance that lets us know when and where we need to be. She wouldn’t budge. And, it’s not my place to sell something that is free. I don’t have all the answers but I have my own experiences. You can only express from your perspective and I am not responsible for her.

I have fallen outside of consciousness several times in my life. During these moments I haven’t had the awareness of my human factors. I don’t know anything but truth. A little of this also happens during meditation. But the last time it was profoundly evident was three years ago when it truly showed me how easy it is to detach from human ego. There is no chain holding us in the body. There is no vault holding us tightly to this costume.

Consciousness and the soul move out quickly. I have had the privilege to be around others when they die and it’s just a blink of an eye. It happens in a way that our timing and perception cannot gather or comprehend. To fall outside of this consciousness has allowed me to see things in a different light. I realize how much I avoided in my life.

I was afraid of everything. I was paralyzed by anxiety and judgment for anyone thinking that I was nuts. I couldn’t step outside of my truth and I became a prisoner within guarded relationships who reminded me I was possibly insane. These were placed in my life for security by no one other than me. As long as I knew I couldn’t step outside of my authenticity no one could reject me. Imagine the injustice I created for over 40 years? What an amazing time wasted in worrying about others instead of living my truth.

I share this because I know so many who are falling in and out of consciousness and feel the claws of insanity judging them. You owe yourself full respect, love and acknowledgment. You don’t owe anyone your stories, your trial and tribulations, or apologies with excuses for being you. Be quirky. Be whimsical. Be outrageous. Be freaking full of love. You will never make every single person happy. That’s very improbable. But, you can make yourself content by being you. If that looks like a hippie, a psychic, a religious fanatic, an artist, a musician, a homeless man, Superman, Wonder Woman, or whatever…that’s your choice. When you finally embrace all your qualities, greatness, and magnificence…oh my God! you will be in a place of freedom. Be happy with you. You are here to live out truth. Fear arrives when we stop ourselves from consciousness by adhering to everyone’s demands. Stop asking for permission from society. Go achieve your greatness. And, if you lose people along your freedom…well…they were lessons. Let them go. Let yourself go too!

May you all have a happy and peaceful week. Love to all!

Today is the beginning

Today…

Today is the beginning of change.

Regardless of where you stand under the political umbrella or convictions, we can all agree that change is coming. For the past few months we have witnessed friends and family battle their beliefs with hate and nastiness. Social media, the news, and other forms of communication have used this election as a means to cause fear and hatred across the world. I have been shocked and appalled at the many who have chosen to discard a friend because of his or her political choices.

But, isn’t this country made from diversities? Aren’t we here as a melting pot of cultures, beliefs, ethnicity, and differences? Isn’t it in our adversities that we resort to greatness? This country is not black or white. It isn’t left or right wing. It isn’t made up of one choice or religion or group. It’s made up of gray areas such as me, a Hispanic woman, or my children who come from Europe and have all shades of skin colors. Or, some of which are gay and others who suffer from mental illnesses. I believe we, as a whole, complete this nation. Until this election I had never, ever, witnessed such tremendous division in our country. And, today, I wonder what makes America great?

It’s the compassion we share. It’s the humility we exude. It’s in helping others, here and outside the country. It’s in forgiving. It’s in the lessons we learn from others who aren’t like ourselves. It’s in altruism, empathy, and kindness that we make this country one of the greatest in the world. It’s in the people who fill every square inch of our boundary lines in a map that make the United States of America a union.

For eight years I heard, read, and witnessed a million comments about our President. Some I took rather personally, others I learned from. But, what I found was that in spite of the hatred and opinions, we had a pretty successful course of events. No one is perfect and neither was his administration. He truly endured a legacy of anger and discord. Anyone who goes into that office has to have thick skin. And here we are again. In another four years we will be right back here arguing and fighting our beliefs.

Here is what I know to be true: We are a nation united by its citizens from all parts of the earth. This new President was elected by this country. There is no doubt that division has been seen loud and clear. I hadn’t a clue, in my oblivious hippie state of being, that we had been so suppressed by anger, bigotry and hatred in this nation. News to me! However, it’s out there now. The lack of understanding and accepting is astronomical and perhaps daunting. It’s disturbing to experience all this fear and anger that is being passed on to the younger generations.

Trump is a powerful lesson for us all. Whether you voted for him or not, he is going to be a clear starting point for this nation to start healing from years of keeping quiet over prejudices and bigotry. Religious groups have spoken and I feel it is time to take notice that the division is being magnified throughout the world. We must stand together in spite of what we believe. Together we stand, divided we fall.

I only hope that those protesting can do it in a quiet and sensible manner. That those who are mourning for this change can heal from the disappointments. That others who are yelling and rubbing their victories can also learn from diversities. I ask that we join together in sending this new leader healthy and compassionate vibes because he will need it. We are being instructed to stand together in something powerful of a historic phenomenon. It won’t be easy and those who think that victory has concluded will see many incredible changes that will make them question their choices and faith. Today is the beginning.

It starts here with us…with the black, white and gray. We make this country a privilege to live in. We are learning from each other how we act and react. Let’s do it civilized and with optimism. Those who are heartbroken, I feel for you. I understand. I also believe that in this space and time there is work to be done in many facets of our evolution. In our spirituality and beliefs we hold the key to this great change. What an opportunity to utilize all that we know as healers, lightworkers, and spiritual trail-blazers! No other time in history could we have been given such a tremendous challenge to show how love and forgiveness can transform the world. Our hope, our desires, and our hearts can turn challenges into miracles.

God bless America and all its beautiful souls! I love you.

Life is a Whim

If you allow for it the world will move you every day to a place of complete openness. The hardest part is allowing the heart to stay open enough to receive the gifts. Some gifts will be painful and force you to grow for the betterment of your spiritual evolution. Others will contribute grace, adventure, and love to bring you closer into the web of humanity. Give yourself the permission this new year to experience all the wow’s and aha moments while staying in the present. They will transform you forever. Take risks, move beyond the comfort zone, laugh more, love deeper, share your life with strangers, truly forgive, don’t forget to breathe and enjoy the ride. Create your resolutions if you feel they will help you. Make your vision boards for guidance. Make space in your life for more joy.
I will not be creating unrealistic goals this year. I will not be putting myself with the stress of losing weight, running a marathon, finishing my novel or anything that I know will make me spin out of control because I cannot accomplish those tasks ASAP. I am allowing each moment to dictate what needs to be done. I am being mindful with my thoughts. No more expectations! They force Ego to dictate my mood. They also lead to extreme sense of failure and disappointments. Therefore, this new year I am just gonna surf it with a child-like sense of wonder and adventure. I will dance more under the stars, play with fairies in creeks, ride unicorns through the woods, and allow Divinity to surprise me with magic. Let’s see where that will take me!

I love you. Thank you for joining me here. I am forever grateful (and often shocked) by the kind and loving support.

Pick A Cause

Pick a cause that moves you. Grab onto a reason to wake up in the morning. If it’s children, help them find homes, create places for them to grow safely in…teach and change the world one child at a time. They are the future!

If it’s politics or religion or history or whatever…pick a cause that inspires and transforms the world through educating and not demoralizing. Help others see the endless ways to help in our world. Adjust your sails and move through love while helping others. It might be challenging and frustrating but if you believe in it you will conquer it all.

If it’s the environment…go clean the rivers, help small villages get water, and do it because you want it for you and no one else. Through selfless acts of kindness you will find results.

If you can no longer stand to see abuse then volunteer in a shelter. Feed the homeless. Stand for those who have been hurt and are in complete destitution. They need others to lift them with laughter, a touch, and a word of kindness. They need a rope who can help pull them out of darkness. Be their light. Even if it’s just for a day.

If you want to change the world make sure you do it out of your love and compassion. You cannot teach and educate through hate and corruption. Follow the ache and passion that makes you shine this life with greatness.

We each have a calling. I don’t care what it is. You might say you don’t have one, that you weren’t given one by divinity. You have. I promise you. And the moment you start to follow the things that make you smile you will begin to unveil it. Life will be sweeter because of it. Of course there are obstacles and challenges. Nothing that’s worth doing comes easy, otherwise we wouldn’t do it. We aren’t made for easiness. We like drama and complications. But, it doesn’t have to be that way.

Helen Keller was blind, mute and deaf. She lived in a time that did not have all the amazing means and opportunities to help her evolve. HOWEVER, she learned to communicate with the world through a wonderful teacher. If she, who could have died in self pity, overcame such adversities and obstacles has changed the world what makes you think that you can’t? There are NO excuses. Absolutely not one single thing stopping you from doing small acts of joyful things in your life. You are the one stopping you!

It’s easy to stand back and bitch about the world. It’s easy to judge another. You know what takes courage? You know what really takes freaking guts? To stand for what you know is right while making a small change in your own life. It takes a tremendous amount of vulnerability to follow that which sets fire in you. You might have to jump over hurdles. You might have to set boundaries with others. You might even have to burn some bridges…but once you start to acknowledge, what and who you are, there is no way your purpose will not appear.

Not everyone will be Buddha or Helen Keller or Mother Teresa or Jesus. You are you and in that uniqueness you get to help another see the beauty and goodness of this lifetime.

Stop wallowing in the no’s, the cant’s, and start waking up to the endless possibilities of your soul. You are magnificent. Start to act like it, please!

Listen to your body and your spirit. It will always tell you how to act, react, love, pray and try. By stopping and paying attention to everything you are allowing spirit, not ego, to watch out for you. It’s that simple. You have the ability to change your programming. You can transform YOU into anything and anyone you desire.

You are THE One!

I love you. Mucho!!!
