What is

Some folks come in and highlight past triggers. They push the dark emotions up and about. In my case I get a few who remind me of my mother and how judgmental and controlling she was. I revert into the little girl. I find myself avoiding confrontations. Then I step back and realize the unhealed parts of my inner child.

I embrace it. I become aware of the role they are playing. That doesn’t mean I attack the person triggering me. It doesn’t mean I am nasty or passive aggressive. It doesn’t mean anything because it’s not about them. It’s about me and how I allow the energy to show up.

I get to decide how I perceive things. I get to choose what I allow and what I release. People are amazing teachers. I am always asking what is this person teaching me? What is the message here?

What I am learning is that when we don’t heal those parts of ourselves we are opened to the teachers coming in more frequently. Until we forgive and set appropriate boundaries those lessons will keep showing up. Until we learn from them we cannot graduate to something else.

So stop and detect. Breathe through the moments without reacting. Allow the present moment to dictate instead of the past. You can’t change what happened back there. You can, however, change what happens now.

We have choices every single day to show up and not overthink. We are always evolving. We aren’t stuck in any one stage. It’s an ongoing journey. There is no good or bad…only a perspective of how we view the world.

Life is a Journey

I’m reminded, often, that when things start to run smoothly there may be a fork on the road (or a sink hole in the path) and I must learn a new way to navigate. I must become mindful of how to continue traveling.

It’s life.

It consists of ups and downs. It has mountains and valleys. It has really beautiful terrains and some very challenging ones. It has amazing weather and catastrophic storms. I have learned to trust in what I can’t see…but wholeheartedly feel.

I am led by magic.

And I pray a lot. I meditate daily. I also freaking negotiate with my higher guidance, counsel with God, and hold deep meetings with angels because I am, after all, the CEO of my life. I need all the help I can get. I am not alone on this spiritual walk in this human vehicle.

This doesn’t exempt me from worrying. It doesn’t separate my ego from the equation. I have lessons to learn along the journey. Some are brutal. Some are mystical. Some are intimately sacred. Some are full of more questions than answers.

Today may be okay. Tomorrow may be amazing. The next day may just be the worst of all days. But it all evens out if I am willing to view (and accept) this life as an adventure of extraordinary gifts.

Don’t let a bad season determine your worth. I have to remind myself of this too. Trust in your knowing. Stop the naysayers from influencing your emotions. Detox your life from everything and everyone who doesn’t lift you. You know you, and your life, better than anyone else.

You have so many delicious days ahead. You get to design the life you want by the choices you make. You get to show up on this journey and decide which path you take. Take the one with least resistance. Believe me!

I love you.

Welcome Home

“Welcome home!” I want my life to say that. I want it to salute every person who enters my space, not just my home, but my presence while feeling the simplicity of those words. I want to create an atmosphere of love, blessings, comfort and peace. Whether they enter our home, or I enter their own space, I want to believe they feel those words. I hope you can grab a chair, squat and share.

Home is the heart of our spirits. A house is a building, but home can be anywhere your spirit welcomes another. “Welcome home!”

Welcome home to that place of simplicity, love, serenity, joy and communion. Welcome to the life your spirit craves to share with you and others. I am learning that the purest form of an authentic life is in allowing others to love and feel loved no matter where they are…no matter at what level of consciousness they are experiencing.

I will never forget a famous quote by the author Toni Morrison: “At some point in life the world’s beauty becomes enough. You don’t need to photograph, paint, or even remember it. It is enough.” The beauty of arriving to the place of love and salutation is the best legacy you can leave for another…especially in this season that has been forgotten.

Welcome home, my friends, welcome to your life. Find the joy in the simplest of things. I promise that the spirit of divinity projects an amazing light from that place. I invite you to come and enter as you share the story of you…!

Have a deliciously wonderful day.

Divine in You

The day will come when you won’t be looking for faith outside of you. When you stop looking for God in temples and religion. You will notice the Divine staring back from the reflection in the mirror. You will see it smiling at you in a homeless person or a loved one taking his last breath. You will find Source in your children as they laugh out loud. You will feel spirit in the kiss from your mate. You will finally recognize our connections and how important it is to be kind and compassionate to everyone. Even when they don’t accept it. You will find the silence and ability to walk away. This will be when you have reach the loving understanding of your purpose through unconditional love. I see you. I feel you. I know the God in you. And in me. I love you.

Get Up and Move

The trees behind our house block the sky. I can see pink through holes in the forest. There is a mystical luring to that small space. I love the canopy of nature blocking and enticing my eyes. However, I miss being able to see the distance of sky and horizon. I miss waiting for the rise of day and the sleep of sky at night. I love sunrises and I am giddy that our new home in a few weeks will allow for me to witness them.

I’m reminded of how we allow things to block our views. We settle for the viewing and find comfort. We forget what matters because we conform to our surroundings. Sometimes we complain about how we can’t see or be or do. But we have choices. When you can’t see you can open up another area. You can shift perspective. You can move. You can walk the distance to find what you desire. You aren’t a tree rooted in one place.

So go. Go find your sky. Go reach your stars. Go make your path through the forest. Light through the fog. You get to decide what you keep and what must go.

Connections

“The first time

you looked at me

I saw myself

looking through

another time

returning back

to you again.”

I witnessed a man and a woman in a book store looking at one another through bookshelves. She smiled, put her head down pretending to look at the titles, and tucked her hair behind her ear. He browsed through the books still keeping an eye on her and smiling. They did this for a few minutes. And then for one moment they stared into each other. That one moment was infinite. Their stories unfolded right there with a bookshelf holding this timeline apart. They went their ways. I sat there replaying their intimacy.

If we allow others to come into this realm…every one who tries to…what would our world look like? I mean, the loves…the ones that we push away because of timing and responsibility. I encounter many of these stories without a word being exchanged. I tend to them, noting the endless possibilities of their silence. Their connection is beyond this world. And I can see it’s all about timing.

We are all connected. Whenever we choose to engage in this acceptance we may find that magic is truly fate in disguise. ~m.a.p.
