Let Passion Guide You

Passion is the fuel that drives us to create and fulfill our soul’s yearning. Passionate folks believe in themselves above and beyond what anyone tells them. They don’t follow their ego as much as they follow their heart’s desires. Awareness and acceptance are key to their success in everything they do. Sitting with folks from different backgrounds, I recognize there are several distinctive traits that set passionate people from the norm.

…Bravery…

Vulnerability is the secret to bravery. Don’t be afraid to ask for help. The difference between a person who lives in victim mode and one who has passion is the courage they carry in their hearts. Passionate people are are survivors. They aren’t sitting around licking their wounds from the past. They fall and get right back up. This also doesn’t negate that they hurt and get disappointed just like everyone else. They just choose to get up and keep going. They kick fear’s ass over and over.

…Excitement…

Passionate people aren’t sitting there waiting for things to happen. They are seeing possibilities all around them. Excitement creates a positive vibe that ignites their search for more. They get excited about the challenges, adventures, and the journey that they will be on. Follow joy and excitement. Enjoy the process. Get giddy about the little things and much as the large experiences.

…Gratitude…

I find that those who have passion live in a state of joy because they are always following the present moment. They are grateful for all that they have. If you want to live in joy try keeping a gratitude journal. I write down every night three things that I’m grateful for that happened in my day. Gratitude allows you to see the small things. A single shift from disappointment to gratitude can change your entire perspective.

…Love…

And in the end it’s love. Those who have passion in their lives do it through love. You cannot speak of passion without returning to the source of love. Passionate people love themselves and others. They move through love and share it with the world. They are those who believe in humanitarian causes and fight till the end helping make this earth a better place. They come into this life ready to make changes and nothing stops them. Love is the ultimate motivator for the passionate soul. They know that without the innate desire to change and evolve, there is no doing. Love is the match that lights passion.

Passionate people don’t sit around feeling stuck. They are the trailblazers, doers and movers, the leaders, the mothers and fathers, the brothers and sisters, that all unite to make this place a better haven for the rest of us. These people don’t wait to be told what to do. They are the ones moving a mountain one teaspoon of dirt at a time. They are patient, determined, and generous. The best habit that a passionate person owns is the knowing that this life is here to make the most out of it. They know that in order to be happy, successful and loving there must be desire and the will to see past anything in the future. This is what separates the passionate person from those who do not follow their hearts.

Now you…what’s stopping you from following your passion? What old belief system has to be deleted for you to recognize that to get to your dreams you must manifest through passion?

My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style” – Maya Angelou

Being the Spectator

I took a Kundalini yoga class early this morning. It was the perfect gift for entering a new week.

With each breath cycle, prana, I allowed the life force in me to clear out stagnant energy. Every pose allowed for the vibrancy to rise and fall.

I became the spectator of my stories for that hour… releasing and returning to me with each passing minute.

I am learning the gentleness of me. Of not pushing what doesn’t feel right, even on the yoga mat.

May you find yourself in the driver’s seat witnessing it all without judgment.

I love you. Mucho.

Choose Wisely

The psychology of spirit is pretty simple. Think good and good will arrive. Think negative and most likely you will get it. Think of thinking either and one way or the other you will get the negative. Negativity is a lower frequency. It takes a lot more to create and manifest from higher frequency. Positive energy requires joy and trust.

There are moments that truly push us to the edge of our spirituality. There are others that put us back on track. And, yet in other circumstances we are reminded that these are always, “Good times!” I don’t care how bad it gets because the truth is that we are here placed on this earth to learn, evolve and love in the process of living. With or without our awareness we are here to have a good time.

Be mindful of what you think when you are having a pity party. Be clear on how long you will allow the party to go on. Don’t let a bad day turn into something that will clearly become some kind of victimization attitude. This life is not created for that. These are, indeed, great times. Obstacles appear as reminders that you can overcome anything. Each challenge is an opportunity for growth and expansion.

If you don’t show up to your highest spiritual capacity take a look at what is holding you back. Most likely it’s you. You are holding yourself back from moving forward. No one else is to blame.

Always take full responsibility on how you act and react. It’s time you stop the victimization or martyr mode. Time is wasted on such dysfunctional behaviors.

Enjoy the spaces between the highs and lows. Enjoy the not knowing until you do. You are growing, darling! It isn’t always easy. So just be. Let’s make these moments good times. These are extraordinary times and we get to decide what holds us, what keeps us, and what lets us go. Sending blessings to you!

Rise Above

In the last month and a half I have made some difficult decisions as I had to be true to what my soul was expressing. I have spent a lifetime avoiding my desires while feeling guilt and shame for another.

Do I do this? Do I do that? What if I do this, will it affect this person? Oh…it’s just easier to do that which feels right. It’s time to be authentic to what I will or will not do. And it’s magical. It’s important to remember the stories of past events and return to the present with full awareness of the lessons.

Virginia Woolf said, “You cannot find peace by avoiding life.” Life needs to be acknowledged in its complete presence. It needs the wisdom of time, gratitude for each breath, and love for each connection. If you allow it, life will break you and then stitch those parts into a more remarkable being. When you let life guide without the fears of the unknown, through faith and trust, it will give you everything you have wanted and more…while being fully present with joy.

This is the adventure. This is the gift of living.

We are who we are because of the stories from the past. It’s in recognizing what we care to do with joy and what we won’t tolerate any longer that the magic begins to create through fairy dust particles of miracles. Things open up to align with your gifts and wishes.

Every road into memories and events allows us to figure out where we came from and how we got here. It becomes an unconscious clearing in mind, body and spirit.

Allow yourself to feel alive in those solitary moments when the reminder of living is magnified. Give your soul permission to visit and revisit the parts of you that need mending. Then may you return to the present with a full understanding of how awesome you are! Be embraced by Divinity!

Rise, darling! Rise to your soul’s yearning. Become all that you are meant to be but have forgotten for some time. You are the alchemist of your desires.

Life Cycles

We move through cycles of what was and what is. And, somewhere in between lies the illusion that these things make us whole and become our stories. Your story might be raw and full of pain, or it might consist of happiness and delightful moments. You have been embraced by love and lovers (past and present), but in the end it is this very second that glues us together. You have lost a loved one to death or just the ending of a relationship and it hurts like hell but you are still here surfing the ebb of deep waters.

This is Sacred Presence.

This is part of expansion.

This is a raw and vulnerable ability to stay here and share while connecting to another by saying, “I am here for you. You are not alone. I understand. I have experienced something similar. Or, I haven’t and it is beautiful how you are moving with grace, strength and faith.”

Yes, these are the moments that make us whole through the veil of life. These are the days that move through us in the subconscious with changes and growth. We don’t know it but there’s a shift inside. This new year is one full of growth and adventure. You have been tested for so long that you have forgotten what it is to just be in sacred presence.

We can’t look back and know when things changed and we gave up but they are there. Today I am making changes to a new opportunity to find joy in the little things. These non-judgmental days of self awareness are huge mile markers.

Today…Tomorrow…Every single morning is an opportunity for me to expand my heart and consciousness.

Are you ready as well?

Keep searching for your truth. It isn’t always pretty or perfect or without some hurt…but it is your truth. These are the things that have created your humanness to continue expanding in our world. The conscious shift in knowing and acceptance is evolving within you always. And how MARVELOUS you are, darling! Go be all that greatness you are meant to be!!!! Together we make some yummy magic. Mucho love.

Happy 2020

Growth doesn’t happen quickly. It takes time. Expansion is slow and sometimes extremely messy. Spiritual growth forces you to see the parts of yourself that are dark and unattractive.

But…

Once it starts to unravel you begin to see the new you. Once you consciously SEE it things begin to make sense.

2019 was such a year for me. I am grateful for it all.

By the time October hit I was in shambles. I was depleted. I found myself during lunch times curled up in my car overlooking the mountains by work praying the year would just swallow me whole. I was done with it and the lessons. They were metaphysical lessons. They were emotional ones. They were all about ripping me apart to examine me. And it wasn’t pretty. Ughhh it was not nice to see myself going through the dark night of the soul without a lantern.

The last time I experienced such openness was in the end of 2010 when I moved to these mountains. And now I was coming full circle recognizing the all-ness and oneness of the lessons.

So as November began I felt a sense of relief. By the time December arrived I had truly found myself with much clarity about the things I desired. I saw ME.

2019 has been an incredibly tough teacher. 2020 will be all about finally BEing the person I have dreamed off becoming.

I pick two words for the year. I had picked “release and surrender” for 2019. What did I expect?

So for 2020 I have picked “adventure and joy.”

Make your intentions clear. Write them. Don’t let another day pass you by with dreams. Chase after them. I have spent years dreaming of writing and creating. This is my year to put it all out there with humanitarian causes.

Happy New Everything to you, darlings. You are not alone on this journey even if you feel that you are. Reach out please! I love you.

November Full Moon

I wrote today. A lot. We had a snow day and the kids gathered around me playing, watching TV, while I ferociously got words out into pages of my journal. I don’t know how I could possibly have so much to say. But I did. Each line flowed into the next. Every so often I would put the journal down to feed them and stains of food would find way into pages. Signs of motherhood I guess.

And I wrote some more, on this full moon, creating and manifesting. I’ve asked with full intentions from my desires. I wrote until they took naps. Then I meditated. I lit my candles, burned my sage, and said my prayers.

There is magic getting dreams out in the open. There is mysticism that seems to align quicker when words or pictures are present.

Tonight take some time to manifest. This moon is powerful and directing us to find truth. It’s almost the end of a year. It’s been one of the hardest and most challenging for me in about a decade. It’s taught me more about myself than any other time. I’ve falling in love with so much that I never knew I wanted, and I’ve let go of so many other things that had me hostage.

Today I took a lot of time to cater to those things: the good and bad. It was a beautiful way to spend the day.

Sending love to all.
