Authenticity of You

I had a conversation the other day with someone about consciousness. This woman was a little judgmental in regards to receiving “messages” from another realm. I explained to her that our souls are always in knowing mode but we, as human alterations, block the messages. Call it intuition, whispers from God, or whatever. We have an inner guidance that lets us know when and where we need to be. She wouldn’t budge. And, it’s not my place to sell something that is free. I don’t have all the answers but I have my own experiences. You can only express from your perspective and I am not responsible for her.

I have fallen outside of consciousness several times in my life. During these moments I haven’t had the awareness of my human factors. I don’t know anything but truth. A little of this also happens during meditation. But the last time it was profoundly evident was three years ago when it truly showed me how easy it is to detach from human ego. There is no chain holding us in the body. There is no vault holding us tightly to this costume.

Consciousness and the soul move out quickly. I have had the privilege to be around others when they die and it’s just a blink of an eye. It happens in a way that our timing and perception cannot gather or comprehend. To fall outside of this consciousness has allowed me to see things in a different light. I realize how much I avoided in my life.

I was afraid of everything. I was paralyzed by anxiety and judgment for anyone thinking that I was nuts. I couldn’t step outside of my truth and I became a prisoner within guarded relationships who reminded me I was possibly insane. These were placed in my life for security by no one other than me. As long as I knew I couldn’t step outside of my authenticity no one could reject me. Imagine the injustice I created for over 40 years? What an amazing time wasted in worrying about others instead of living my truth.

I share this because I know so many who are falling in and out of consciousness and feel the claws of insanity judging them. You owe yourself full respect, love and acknowledgment. You don’t owe anyone your stories, your trial and tribulations, or apologies with excuses for being you. Be quirky. Be whimsical. Be outrageous. Be freaking full of love. You will never make every single person happy. That’s very improbable. But, you can make yourself content by being you. If that looks like a hippie, a psychic, a religious fanatic, an artist, a musician, a homeless man, Superman, Wonder Woman, or whatever…that’s your choice. When you finally embrace all your qualities, greatness, and magnificence…oh my God! you will be in a place of freedom. Be happy with you. You are here to live out truth. Fear arrives when we stop ourselves from consciousness by adhering to everyone’s demands. Stop asking for permission from society. Go achieve your greatness. And, if you lose people along your freedom…well…they were lessons. Let them go. Let yourself go too!

May you all have a happy and peaceful week. Love to all!

Succession of a Dream

There,

in the height of night

I found a dream

that suited

my desires

and I dove into it,

grabbing onto

the moving images,

partaking in the drama,

trying to blend into the scenes,

becoming the heroine

creating subliminal messages

and archetypes,

until the next dream

pushed me out of the picture

and sent me out

into the morning light

again.

Ohhhhh…you just never know when Spirit has a message for someone. It’s magical when the filtering system stops working and you allow God to speak through you for the benefit of another. It’s one of those moments that having intuition feels like a healing gift rather than a curse. When you get a message don’t hinder or alter it. Say it to another, even if it sounds ridiculous, even if it makes no sense whatsoever. It’s not for you to decipher. You will witness the touch of someone’s heart being opened through love. It happens all the time! Don’t allow yourself the scrutiny of judgment to stop you from telling another how amazing they are…how much they are worth in this life…and how special their loved ones think they are. Don’t dim your light because another person might just need it to light their path for a little while. We are all connected on this small blue-green planet.

Recognizing Your Worth Through Others

worthy

A little over a month ago I met a man through a friend for counseling and a reading on my specific roles and capabilities. He sat across from me with a bunch of charts, reports, and research for my human design. In his findings I came to see who I am and what I do, the things that need adjustments and many other components to my personality. I was able to recognize what truly moves me and makes me tick. I was able to understand what isn’t working for me as I enter my second act in life. As he moved from diagram to information I was taken aback by his sadness. He lost his husband a few months ago, the love of his life, and this man was very present in our meeting. I reached over to him, touched his hand, and told him that his partner was proud of him and how he’s moving on. I expressed that his life was still in turmoil but it wouldn’t always stay like this. I don’t know what else I might have said because the message was for him and not for me to remember. His eyes watered. Part of my human design shows my heighten intuition and he brought the message back to that awareness and how I needed to work from that place of “feeling and knowing.” He witnessed how I can shut everything around me and just go with messages from beyond without filtering.

But here is the thing: we fake things like actors in a role. We move through life with dramatic presence while hiding behind a facade. We hide behind our hurt and brokenness. We cover emotions extremely well.

Or, do we? Who are we fooling?

Our emotions bleed through other parts of our psyche and body. His emotions, especially anger and hurt, were evident at that moment. For me it is easier to decipher messages from Spirit when I know nothing of that person. At that moment I felt his despair and the need to just hold on tighter to his feelings until we were finished. I was overwhelmed by his tenacity in holding it together…and I am sure he does a great job at not sharing his most intimate thoughts, especially with a total stranger.

This is the double edge sword of sensitivity. Feelings have a way of regressing, progressing and digressing. Loss is not something we can tuck away without facing it. It requires visitations, accepting and releasing. This lovely man might “know” this on a metaphysical level, but we are humans and, as emotional creatures, those things can be faked…up to a level. Emotions can be controlled on the surface, but by no means, will they remain hidden.

A few weeks later I walked into a store and I bumped into this man. He did not recognize me. He couldn’t pinpoint how he knew me. I had to remind him of weeks prior and his scientific findings on my human design. He immediately said, “Oh my, you look softer and lighter.” I hugged him, thanking him for a huge awareness in my life. Things have taken a 360 degree turn with me. I still don’t know what my future holds in terms of profession and purpose, but I no longer need to think obsessively about it. Thinking is not part of my architectural design. I told him that in his research of my personality, I realized that when I move through my “feelings and knowing” things always work out. My intuition and emotions guide me to the right path. It’s been a HUGE sense of freedom in recognizing why things get blocked when I start to “think.” I needed to get out of my head ASAP because things were being affected around me. He smiled and was moved with deep gratitude. Then we shared a few other things and tears began to fall quickly. He was grieving that day. He had no intention of leaving his house. Yet, he went to this little book store near downtown Asheville and found that the universe had an appointment for him. I had never been to that store and stopped that day to meet friends. I was there to remind him of his worth, greatness, and profound purpose in helping others. I love when the Divine plans these beautiful meet-ups. It never fails to remind me of how I love to be led by synchronicity and serendipity.

Our state of emotional connection with ourselves and others is magical. I have had many encounters with others when I’ve needed a pick-me-up. We are worth more than what we believe in ourselves. In those encounters with strangers I needed to hear and feel what they said at the perfect timing. This man did too. He has forever changed the way I perceive who I am and what I am doing here. Using his techniques and becoming aware of my emotional and physical bodies has allowed me to stand firmer in my truth.

Divine intervention is a magnificent source of love. It will guide us to find purpose and worth. It will force us to see who we are when we don’t believe in ourselves. May you find someone on your path today who can remind you of your presence and importance in this world. And, may it be an angel just like this man has been for me. Have a blessed day!

Angel Whispers

Every second stories are created by us, for us, with us, and around us. This is life as we inhabit a small piece of real estate in the expanse universe. We are small in comparison to all that is out there. We live among other humans and borrow space from other realms, often times bleeding in and out of their communications. This morning was a perfect example.

I got up, nothing different from any other day. As I was putting on my make-up my husband entered the bathroom asking if he was to take our two-year old to the sitter or was I going to do it? I told him I would. He stared for a second, as I was applying my mascara. I stopped, turned to look at him and said, “Happy anniversary!” To which he asked, “How many do we have?”

I returned the answer, “As many as possible.” Today is actually three years from the day we met. He knows I celebrate anything I can qualify as an stepping stone and a mark in our lives: the first kiss, the first real date, etc. But, today is actually the day we met.

“Are you okay?” He asked with a concern look, his blue eyes holding on to something deeper than what he was seeing.

I stopped. The question halted me into acknowledging what I was feeling in my gut. Something was off and I was thinking before he entered to say goodbye that perhaps I should let work know I wasn’t coming in. For over an hour I had this inkling that didn’t feel right. I have felt this before but today I was willing to ignore it. “I am fine. Have a good day. See you later.”

“You sure?” He persisted with his own intuitive nature.

“Yep!” He kissed us girls and left.

I took just a tad longer to get on the road. I was getting ready to get on the expressway when the car in front of me stopped on a screeching halt, me almost hitting it and the car behind me missing me by a hair. We were all going about 45 MPH. A semi flipped in front of that first car (two cars in front of me) causing a giant accident, blocking the highway. And at that very moment I thought, “Okay, I will listen. I will go home after this is cleared up. I now understand. Thank you!”

Our guides will provide a small nudge when they want us to be safe. If we don’t listen, they will provide a whisper. We can continue choosing to ignore it. Eventually their nudging turns into a scream. It did today. I was too busy having a life to pay attention to that gut feeling that warns me. I know better than this. I can decipher that feeling. The thought came into my mind, “Do not go to work today. Work from home.” I ignored it. And…yet…I was two seconds late for what could have been me under that semi because I chose to drop our little girl off at the sitters. No one was hurt. To me it was a warning flash, and a real crash to stop whatever thought I had about being away from home today. I don’t need to know why I needed to be home. I trust in the highest form of guidance without having to question this.

Stories…. Stories create our psyche, our perceptions, and our lives. I am molded by yours, hers, his, theirs, and mine. The irony of all this is that as I was taking that turn to get on the highway I had one thought, “How much has my life changed in just three years. I don’t know what will happen in three more….” Stop! That incident stopped the chatter. It stopped the thoughts from everything. I don’t need to know anything.  I just need to trust.  I need to continue walking on faith.  I need to allow my intuition to lead. Gratitude took over. My body received the sweet goosebumps and chills that come from my guides when I am being touched.

I share this not because of what could have happened or didn’t happen. That’s all irrelevant. I share because we need to remember that in this world there are things that cannot be explained. Listen to that small voice within you that whispers truth. Pay attention to signs and synchronicity. Acknowledge the changes in your body and how you react to sudden temperatures. Are the lights or electronics going nutty?  (The radio this morning turned off twice in my car.  No reason whatsoever…and yet I dismissed that too). When you hear that high pitch sound in your ear, that’s something above and beyond this consciousness. You are never ever alone. Even the most in-tune person can discard the messages because we are human trying to survive life. Please! Let those whispers from the Divine and guidance lead the way. You got this. Listen closely! You are always loved and cared for…and you are never alone.  Sparkle on….love and light always!

An Evening with Oneness

oneness

A friend invited me to attend a gathering at her place to meet the incredibly gifted writer, Rasha who wrote Oneness. I came across the book over two years ago while walking the aisles of Barnes & Noble. Searching for spiritual answers that summer, I browsed through the metaphysical area when Oneness fell off the shelves onto my feet. The Divine always works in specific ways with me and books, sending me messages from beyond.  This book has become a metaphysical bible of sorts which I return time and time again for answers.  Each time I re-read a passage something new shifts.  It is an experience to immerse in such language full of truth and wisdom.
I was delighted to be able to be in this beautiful woman’s presence. When she arrived, wearing all white, vowing her head into her palms together while whispering, “Namaste…” I felt a pull from Source. I cannot describe this in a terms that won’t sound hippie or woo-woo. I saw her energy enter with authentic truth…and love. It’s rare! It’s extremely rare to see this so clearly in strangers, especially those who label themselves as enlightened, awakened, or whatever they are selling through the process of society and materialism. This wasn’t the case. Rasha sat with a humble smile and we began to discuss her books and the journey her life took after writing Oneness. Her humanness allowed me to put my guard down.  A very shy woman who speaks in a low tone I began to feel uncomfortable. Not many people know that as of the beginning of this year I began to lose my hearing in my right ear. As of this summer I cannot hear at all. Now, this presence sat across from me, speaking ever so slowly and in a whispering tone that I felt the rush of anxiety for not being able to hear her properly.  What would I miss?  What message won’t I catch while reading her soft lips?

I asked her a question and became aware of forcing my body to be on alert to hear from my other ear while making sure I am reading facial expressions. But, something happened as she answered this important question. She stared into my eyes and my right ear popped. A sharp sound took over for a second. Then I heard everything as clearly as I have not in over nine months. It was so crisp that my eyes watered as her message truly became the foundation of truth for all that I needed to hear. I heard!  I sat there with a message of empowerment.

I did not share my hearing loss. I did not share every imaginable thought I had after that moment in the shock of sound entering this space in me. I was elated and surprised and grateful. I heard! I listened to her story and how these messages from divine wisdom are not hers but utilize Rasha (the woman) as a vessel to pass it on to others. Mesmerized by what I needed to hear, I was moved to a place of oneness and the power of healing.

“I know this”…I kept thinking. “How have I allowed for this loss of sound to go on for so long?” I know when it began. I understand the blanking out of noises that become toxic in our lives. I get the avoidance. I completely get the holistic lesson in this dizzy imbalance body that can’t find grounding because of not hearing from one ear. But, there in a place of safety and wholeness, I was able to hear The Great Mysteries of Divinity speak through this soul.  There I was whole and alive and able to comprehend even the softest and quietest of words.

The powerful thing about her books, especially Oneness, is that you have to be ready to embark in the journey. It will open you up to some major shifts. I read it six months before my near-death experience. This summer I read her other book, The Calling. Each one of her books is mystically encoded with a high vibration and frequency to push you into opening to your higher consciousness. Being in her presence I felt that message of an expanded awareness and acceptance. She is elevated and even in her human state there is definitely something of great mindfulness. She is the embodiment of all she writes. She expresses the Oneness of all we are and what we are to Source.

I have been in the presence of many who call themselves gurus, spiritual teachers, healers, facilitators, empaths and intuitives. This woman needs no label. She is living the life of humility and humbleness on a mountain in the south of India.  Her story is me, you and them.  There is no separating the body from the spirit…she has allowed herself to be of service through words.  If only!  If only we were brave enough to follow such a difficult path in a world that judges, scrutinizes and discriminates.  I applaud this soul.

I was flying high as I left downtown Asheville. I could hear all. I heard the folks talking outside the restaurant. I heard the sirens in the distance. I heard my breathing. I heard sounds that I have blocked while utilizing only one ear. I got in the car and turned on Sarah Brightman on my ipod while following the moon over the mountains until another pop took a hold of my ear and bang! All hearing was lost again. I shook my head, stuck my finger in the ear, tried to unblock it but it was too late. I covered my left ear and I couldn’t hear the music. But…but it is better than okay because something in me remembered the reason I have not been hearing until there is something of importance to remember again.

Staying in the oneness of life and truth is not easy. My few hours with Rasha did allow me to vibrate at a higher frequency. I felt a charge. I felt a surge go through me and my heart expand to all there is with love as she spoke ever so softly while pausing and inviting every sense of our presence into her world. I am grateful to my friend for the opportunity to witness this mirror image of pure love and light. I will be picking up Oneness again and re-reading it. It’s time for another journey into the great mysteries of this earth.
