Happy 2020

Growth doesn’t happen quickly. It takes time. Expansion is slow and sometimes extremely messy. Spiritual growth forces you to see the parts of yourself that are dark and unattractive.

But…

Once it starts to unravel you begin to see the new you. Once you consciously SEE it things begin to make sense.

2019 was such a year for me. I am grateful for it all.

By the time October hit I was in shambles. I was depleted. I found myself during lunch times curled up in my car overlooking the mountains by work praying the year would just swallow me whole. I was done with it and the lessons. They were metaphysical lessons. They were emotional ones. They were all about ripping me apart to examine me. And it wasn’t pretty. Ughhh it was not nice to see myself going through the dark night of the soul without a lantern.

The last time I experienced such openness was in the end of 2010 when I moved to these mountains. And now I was coming full circle recognizing the all-ness and oneness of the lessons.

So as November began I felt a sense of relief. By the time December arrived I had truly found myself with much clarity about the things I desired. I saw ME.

2019 has been an incredibly tough teacher. 2020 will be all about finally BEing the person I have dreamed off becoming.

I pick two words for the year. I had picked “release and surrender” for 2019. What did I expect?

So for 2020 I have picked “adventure and joy.”

Make your intentions clear. Write them. Don’t let another day pass you by with dreams. Chase after them. I have spent years dreaming of writing and creating. This is my year to put it all out there with humanitarian causes.

Happy New Everything to you, darlings. You are not alone on this journey even if you feel that you are. Reach out please! I love you.

Happy New Beginnings

I’ve sat and lounged more than enough this last holiday. It was yummy to be among family. It was by far one of the easiest and loving holidays ever.

What changed?

Me.

I allowed for it to come and go while being present. Even with severe allergies I allowed for the moments to come and go. I let go of the sorrow that comes with those days of celebration. I became aware of where the grief revisited and I addressed it like never before.

It felt like sacredness and a preview of what’s coming this new year. It feels like how I will allow the new beginnings.

The need to push isn’t here. The desire to create always is. But, I create and manifest by feeling through the desires without control. Just knowing I’m always aligning to my highest calling. This is a powerful acceptance!

That was the biggest lesson in 2018.

I am so happy to enter a new year with deeper awareness than last one. I’m in no rush to see what’s coming. For now I am chillaxing and allowing the universal forces to drive.

Wishing you a magical new everything. Be in it without pushing anything. And, darling, put the love for you first and foremost. Once you do everything and everyone around you starts to feel that vibration.

I love you. You. You. You.

Happy New Everything

If you allow for it the world will move you every day to a place of complete openness. The hardest part is allowing the heart to stay open enough to receive the gifts. Some gifts will be painful and force you to grow for the betterment of your spiritual evolution. Others will contribute grace, adventure, and love to bring you closer into the web of humanity. Give yourself the permission this new year to experience all the wow’s and aha moments while staying in the present. They will transform you forever.

Take risks, move beyond the comfort zone, laugh more, love deeper, share your life with strangers, truly forgive, don’t forget to breathe and enjoy the ride. Do the things that make you come alive. Let go of the fears. Ask questions that force your consciousness to expand. Find a spiritual practice that grounds you and gives meaning to your existence. Step out into this world with zest. Create your resolutions if you feel they will help you. Make your vision boards for guidance. Make space in your life for more joy.

I will not be creating unrealistic goals this year. I will not be putting myself with the stress through expectations. I know how it feels to spin out of control because I cannot accomplish those tasks ASAP. I am allowing each moment to dictate what needs to be done. I am being mindful with my thoughts. No more expectations! They force Ego to dictate my mood. They also lead to extreme sense of failure and disappointments. Therefore, this new year I am just gonna surf it with a child-like sense of wonder and adventure. I will dance more under the stars, play with fairies in the creeks, ride unicorns through the woods, and allow Divinity to surprise me with magic. Let’s see where that will take me! There is yumminess in just allowing for the magic to come to me.

Feel the joy? I sure do!!!

I love you. Thank you for joining me here. I am forever grateful (and often shocked) by the kind and loving support. Together we can transform the next 365 days into the best year of our lives.

Happy New Everything

Happy New Year. Happy new everything. It’s time to recharge and do things differently if you want different results. We are poets, artists, story tellers, parents, children, teachers and creators. We start exactly where we are in this life. Today is a new day. Tomorrow is another. In the process of creating we allow spirit to touch us, preciously speaking through music, painting, gardening, and interacting with others. We begin today. We continue tomorrow and so on. Whatever has seemed mundane or trivial will show itself to be the voice of divinity. Allow for it and follow through wherever it takes you. Don’t be afraid. Move with the rhythm of the melody, the colors of the muse, or the touch of a stranger. I am so giddy with all that is waiting ahead. Each step here has been an orchestrated note to a magical dance. Let’s let go and allow for it all to embrace us in a giant party. Let love guide you. Please join me there…in the midst of magic and wonder.

Choose Your Journey Into Love

I recently read Kerry Egan’s book, On Living. Egan is a hospice chaplain and her insightful stories of her patients and the things that are important in our life is magnificent. Actually that word is an understatement. I was glued to each word, paragraph and page. It made me gasp several times with awareness, heartache and joy. This little glimpse into ordinary lives, with extraordinary stories, will remind you why we are here and how not to take things for granted.

Having been around folks with dementia, terminal illnesses, dying individuals of all kinds, I understand that the transition from this world is always challenging. The five plus years of owning a motel/retreat center allowed me to visit with some incredible folks from all walks of life. I witnessed the essence of the human spirit. I noticed that every single person can have four basic experiences in those lonely moments when they know death is near: Regrets, Nostalgia, Fear, and Shame. I have witnessed it over and over. Life becomes a delicate dance with the unknown and time seems to never be on their side.

I’ve heard stories from family members, friends, and strangers. The dying, most times, isolate experiences in order to leave a legacy behind. They magnify events. They idolize others. They share secrets on their dying moments in hope of being released from shame and humiliation. They want to be heard and understood and forgiven. We all want to be acknowledged for our lives. At the end of the journey we want to know that we mattered. We want to believe we did the best we could without hurting our loved ones. We want to be loved. We want to know that someone will miss us because we were important.

Throughout the book the author takes you on a small voyage into the lives of some beautiful souls in her care. She shares her own shame and guilt from an experience that changed her life. She is able to take the reader through a mirage of emotions that is recognizable to all. I don’t care what your belief system entails, this book will touch a part of your truth and humanity.

The human spirit is absolutely beautiful. The things we hold and treasure; the events that change us; the things that bring us joy and sorrow; the greatest loves that touched us; the regrets for not moving past fear…and so on…create the composition of who we are. We, as spiritual beings, are created from a source so bright but we forget to shine. The things we hold inside are the things that keep us prisoners or in some cases allow us to fly freely. It all depends on the type of life you have lived.

I love this passage:

“What if the thing you consider to be your greatest accomplishment is not seen that way by anyone else? What if the thing you are proudest of is also the thing that you are most ashamed of? What if your great love is also your deepest secret?

People keep secrets in a desperate and often ultimately futile attempt to protect themselves or the people they love. They thing that the secret will be a bulwark against rejection and public humiliation, and so they carry it, no matter the weight. In so many cases, people keep secrets and even lie to each other out of love, and not malice.

What they may not realize is that in holding on so fiercely to what they see as shameful secrets, they’re actually strengthening that system of shame. Keeping a secret is like fertilizing a weed, and the family secrets that fertilize shame choke out love before it can even grow. The secrets themselves, instead of protecting anyone from shame, become a source of it instead. Shame is the enemy of love; it can never serve it.”

I read a lot of books, but this one touched me deeply. I love stories about the human spirit. I was inspired to reach into my own collective memories and find the stories from so many folks who have shared their journey with me. I feel a book being created.

May this new year allow you the freedom to let go of all that keeps you in a prison of emotional turmoil. May you find joy, wisdom, forgiveness and an exceptional amount of endless love. I see you…I feel you…I know a part of you because we are all interconnected through the Divine essence called Love.

See you on the other side. I love you!!!!
